Life with Boys

I don't know how my life would ever feel complete without my boys!
My husband and I wonder everyday what in the world we are doing as parents. We are still looking for that magic handbook that tells you how to deal with the smallest and largest parenting issues we have come across. Things we never thought would end up on our unanswerable questions list.
Example #1
Why did God make penguins with wings if He wasn't going to let them fly?
Example #2
What did God make so many different types of bee's
and so on......
The lists of questions are endless. It is amazing to get a glimpse into the minds of children. They spend so much time imagining and dreaming of crazy things us adults would never dream of.
They are so sure that all things are possible! What makes us change so much? How can we hold on to the dreams of our childhood and try to make them come true?
I think imagination is just as important for adults as it is for children.
We need to think of ways to LIVE our lives not just exist in the mundane. We need to make efforts on a daily basis to escape reality and have fun! Like when we where kids and we would just run to feel the wind in our faces. Where do the simple joys go? Why do we let life run us over like a mac truck?
Take time today to recreate the way your reality is. Change something about your day to make the ones you love feel really special. Take time out for yourself and see what happens! You can read a million self help books that will give you tips on a stress free life. Truth is no such thing exists. We live in a very stressful world that is not going to get any better. So we have to take time out of all the madness to be more like children. Why do we have to grow up so fast now days. There is plenty of time for responsibility and all that other stuff. We need to let our kids be kids !
I would love it if you read this and took a few minutes out of your day to leave a comment on the funniest thing you have ever heard a child say???
Or your funniest experience being a parent!
Ask yourself what is most important to you in your life?
ARE YOUR PRIORITIES STRAIGHT?
If not take a page out of my book and get them straight we never know how much time we have on this earth why waist a second of it?
