Tragedy and Hope Dec. 14th 2012

December 14th 2012
There has been an awful tragedy today in Newtown Conn. 20 young innocent children have been killed and 6 Adults including the Principle and the school psychologist and the shooters mother.
I don't even know the right words to describe how I feel. Overwhelming sadness and hurt for the families of these victims. I cant even imagine the pain they must be feeling at this moment. I have two children that are in elementary school and it does scare me. To think of that small town and the parents dropping there kids off today had no idea that they would never get to hold them or tell them they love them again. There is no other loss greater than the loss of a child. I will pray for them and I hope that everyone see's this as a warning of the times we are living in. So many people are hurting and alone. They don't know the hope that is Jesus Christ. They don't value this blessing called life that He has given us. Things like this will never make sense. The overwhelming question is WHY?????
The Answer to that is simple though not comforting. The world is a lost place. People continually go about there lives not living for the one who made them. They are searching for something and they can't seem to find it. It is heartbreaking that this young man was in such a place in his mind that he could harm innocent people.  Especially children. Evil is the only word that comes to mind.
I don't know how we can overcome evil with good in this situation. We need to be on our knees before a grieving God and ask for forgiveness and turn to him before it is to late for us.
My husband and I truly believe in Jesus Christ as our savior and our children are being raised in an imperfect Christian home. We will serve God even when it is not the popular thing to do. Even when people may say we are the crazy ones. So many things are commonly accepted as normal now that used to be shocking. We are letting the world run us over and decide what is right and wrong for us and our precious innocent children. We need to make a stand and lead the world back to Jesus or things like this will continue to happen and get worse.
I am not ashamed of Jesus are you? Are you taking time out of your oh so busy not important schedule to thank Him for your families and for their safety? I am I hugged and kissed my children more today than they probably would have liked. It is easy to get caught up in the hussle and bussle of everyday life and the things that we feel are important. The truth is that nothing in this world matter without the love of family and children especially. They are precious and we need to take it very seriously that they are now growing up in a world that is evil and corrupted by a
 "ME ME ME" society.
Please if you take nothing else from the tragedies that occurred today take away faith that God is the only one who can save this world from itself. There is only one way. JESUS!
